The new Bravo is an important model in Fiat’s revamp lineup and is key to the Italian car maker expanding into more varied markets. The Fiat Bravo is Fiat's new small family car that was introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in 2007.The car was designed by the Fiat style center and Austrian automotive company Magna Steyr was involved in engineering most of the car’s body and fittings. Fiat Bravo's sleek styling and elegant interiors are inspired by the Italian tradition. It is a luxurious hatchback with comfortable interior as well.

The cutting-edge equipment and a safety system (like GPS) put it at the very top of the category. Its interiors give a warm feeling to the riders. Production of the new model will be handled by Fiat’s Miafiori plant. Even with the Bravo crossover, there will be still room for further models at Miafiori.

Key features of the crossover will be its raised ride height, protective under body panels and plastic side cladding and a new front bumper with integrated fog lights. Basic styling will be very similar to the Bravo hatch on which it’s based, but a longer wheelbase and wider track will undoubtedly give it more presence.

Once the Bravo is launched in India, it will be the most expensive hatchback in the country. The idea behind launching this car is to create a strong brand image with a high quality and truly world class product.

The Bravo in India will have a 1910cc, 16-valve turbocharged multijet engine. Developing an immense 150bhp@4000 rpm, the car will cover 0-100kph in about 9 seconds. Other specifications are Length: 4020mm, Width: 1750mm, Height: 1420mm and Wheelbase: 2540mm
